Disney Channel Jump In
Disney is known for producing lots of creative movies. One of the currently released original movies that came from the creative products of Disney is entitled Jump In. Jump In is the 68th Disney Channel Original Movie that premiered last January 12, 2007. The story evolves around the main characters namely, Izzy Daniels, a young boxer played by Corbin Bleu from High School Musical and Mary Thomas, Izzy’s friend played by Keke Palmer from Akeelah and the Bee. The story evolved in Toronto, Canada wherein they shoot the film for about a month from June – July 2006.
The story of this movie evolved with Izzy, a young boxer who is also the star player in that field. He is one of the most popular guys at school. His friend and the girl he likes, Mary was a member of a jumping rope team named the Joy Jumpers. An incident revealed that aside from being a great boxer, Izzy is also good at jumping rope. There was a part of the film where Izzy encountered a situation wherein he was urged to join the team but refused because he feared to be teased by the other people at school. At this point, you will see other confusions that Izzy had to go through so that he would be able to reflect about being a boxer and a player for Joy Jumpers at the same time.
Disney Channel’s Jump In was well received by a lot of viewers. In fact, it was able to break the record set by The Cheetah Girls 2 as the highest rated Disney Channel Original Movie. Aside from garnering around 8.2 viewers on its premiere, it was also able to garner a user rating of 6.7 in the Internet Movie Database. This only shows that this film is one of the most successful movies that Disney was able to make.
